Licensing model

How AgenticGrid Prois licensed

A seven-day trial on the computer you want to evaluate, then a signed licence key for each computer you keep in service. Checks run locally.

The model

One key, one computer

AgenticGrid Pro is licensed per computer. The free evaluation lasts seven consecutive calendar days from first launch, one trial per computer, with no payment card required to start. After the trial, a paid entitlement and licence key are required for each physical or virtual Windows computer that runs the application.

Keys are device-specific. They cannot be shared or transferred between computers without GridAPM approval — a hardware replacement or a workstation rebuild is a conversation, not a blocked door.

Trial and licence checks run locally. The application does not require a continuous connection to GridAPM to keep working, which is what makes it usable on a workstation with tightly controlled egress.

Published price amounts are not part of this page. Licensing terms are agreed per organisation, so the honest answer to "what does it cost" comes from a quote, not a table.

Activation

Trial to licence, step by step

  1. 1. Install and start the trial

Run the Windows installer on the computer you want to evaluate and accept the in-app terms. The seven-day trial begins at first launch.

  2. 2. Evaluate the complete application

The trial is the full desktop application, not a feature-reduced demonstration. Configure your own OpenAI or Anthropic key if you want to exercise the generative features, or run without one to see the deterministic workflow.

  3. 3. Read the Device ID

After the trial, AgenticGrid Pro displays a Device ID for that computer. It identifies the machine the key will be issued against.

  4. 4. Request the licence

Send the Device ID to sales@gridapm.com to purchase and receive that computer's signed licence key.

  5. 5. Activate offline

Enter the signed key in the application. Activation is validated locally against the Device ID, so no outbound call to GridAPM is needed to bring the licence into effect.

Terms to note

What is and is not included

AI provider costs are separate
OpenAI and Anthropic are optional, user-configured providers. Their API usage may incur separate provider charges billed to your own account, and is not part of the AgenticGrid Pro licence.
Provider keys stay on the workstation
Provider keys saved in the application are protected for the current Windows user and are never bundled with the installer or transmitted to GridAPM.
Virtual machines count as computers
A virtual Windows computer needs its own entitlement and key, on the same terms as a physical one.
Terms and privacy policy apply
The GridAPM Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy govern use of the application and the trial.

For procurement

What to ask for before you buy

These are the questions that make a licensing decision defensible in a review.

  • A quote stating the number of computers to be licensed and the term.
  • Confirmation of how a key is reissued after a hardware replacement or workstation rebuild.
  • The written boundary statement: no autonomous control, no OT connection, engineer sign-off mandatory.
  • Whether generative features will be enabled, and if so which provider account carries the credential and the cost.
  • The provider's own data-use and retention terms for that account, since the provider relationship is yours.
  • The security review record: deployment zone, egress approval, evidence scope, named reviewers.
  • Retention, deletion, export and return terms for evidence, agreed in writing.
  • The pilot success criteria you intend to judge the software against, defined before the engagement starts.
  • Support and update expectations for the licence term.
  • The Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, reviewed by your own counsel.

Expected outcomes

How to frame the business case

GridAPM publishes no performance benchmark of its own and no customer results. What a pilot produces is evidence about your own fleet, judged against criteria you set: how long a review-ready diagnostic file takes to assemble, how complete the evidence record is across scoped units, whether engineers can explain a score's drivers from the workbench alone, and whether a recommendation resolves to its source records in one step.

Cross-industry maintenance-programme figures can be used as hypotheses to test, not as promises. The U.S. DOE Federal Energy Management Program's O&M Best Practices Guide reports independent-survey industrial averages for a functional predictive maintenance programme of 10x return on investment, a 25–30% reduction in maintenance costs, 70–75% elimination of breakdowns, a 35–45% reduction in downtime and a 20–25% increase in production — cross-industry, not transformer-specific. Whether anything comparable holds for your fleet is exactly what a bounded evaluation exists to find out.

Put your own evidence through the workflow

A bounded evaluation starts with the records you already have and ends with an evidence pack your reviewers can inspect line by line. Your units, your engineers at the gate.
